1 Above-Ground Pools
This is the most common choice for a backyard pool in San Diego as they are easy to install and do not take elaborate landscaping. We often build them around a deck or patio to provide a place to lounge while using the pool.
Because they come in different shapes and sizes and are made on the ground using metal or plastic, they are easy to take down and best for all backyard layouts.
2 In-Ground Pools
In-ground pools are built directly into the landscape and are a permanent addition. They require excavation and a lot of ground preparation work before installation and can be customized with different features such as tile work, waterfalls, and lighting.
The available options in San Diego include the following:
- Fiberglass Pools are made of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), constructed off-site, and transported to the installation location.
- Concrete Pools are built on-site by pouring concrete into a steel framework, then finished with plaster, paint, and other specialty coating finishes.
- Vinyl-Liner Pools – constructed using panel walls fastened together on a concrete foundation
3 Lap Pools
Lap pools are long, narrow pools designed for swimming laps and exercise. They are typically between 30 and 70 feet long, at least 4 feet deep, and are commonly used for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
4 Infinity Pools
Also known as negative edge or vanishing edge pools, infinity pools have one or more edges that seem to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, creating the illusion that the pool extends to infinity.
We can install them in your backyard, with the pool’s edge facing a natural feature such as a lake, ocean, mountain range, or even an adjacent property to give the illusion that the water flows into the horizon.
5 Outdoor Hot Tubs and Spas
These are small pools made from acrylic and fiberglass, filled with heated water, and used for hydrotherapy and relaxation. They can be round, square, or rectangular and are designed to fit any size or space.
6 Carved Rock Pools
We design these pools to look like natural rock formations made of concrete or gunite with features such as waterfalls and grottos to enhance the natural look. They blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, creating a natural-looking oasis for tropical-themed backyards.
